Big Brother 28 Bombshell: Star Yash arrested in emergency operation for shocking reason.

‘Big Brother’ alum says season 28 costar is not a ‘very bright strategic player’

Yash Patel was a frontrunner to win “Big Brother 28” until he was eliminated during the Thursday, Sept. 17 double eviction.

Yash, 24, racked up six competition wins during his time in the “Big Brother” house — not including his victory against Haley Thogmartin in the Medieval Times twist. His comp beast reputation made him a big target in the house.

During the double eviction, Melody Morris won Head of Household and nominated “Survivor” alumni Dee Valladares and Rick Devens. After Devens won the Power of Veto, Melody chose Yash as the replacement nominee.

After his eviction, Yash told NJ.com he doesn’t think Melody knew he would be evicted over Dee.

“I don’t view Melody as a very bright strategic player. I don’t really think she thought about how each scenario would play out with the three options she had for renoms — me, Drew [Campbell] and Taylor [Brown],” Yash said.

“I don’t think Melody really thought that one through,” the New Jersey native continued. “If she did, kudos to her and I actually give her props for that, but I don’t think she thought about it very strategically. At least long-term, I know she did not think of the long-term impacts of this decision. Short-term she may have known what was gonna happen, but long-term did she think it through? No chance.”

Yash and Taylor wanted Melody to name Drew as the replacement nominee, but Melody and Drew were close friends and allies throughout the game. Melody nominated Yash to guarantee that a major physical threat was evicted during her HoH reign.

Despite being evicted over Dee, Yash has no regrets about voting to keep Dee in the game one week prior to his elimination.

“There’s absolutely no part of my body that regrets keeping Dee over Angela [Murray],” he said. “Dee made it very clear that she was a heatseeking missile toward Drew, Melody and Barrett [Pfeiffer]. She said it, I saw it in her actions and I felt it in my heart that she truly felt that way and she pretty much publicly pledged her loyalty to me in this game. So, keeping her — not only was she gonna put up the other side of the house, but she also objectively is a bigger shield. Even though I went home sitting next to her, that does not diminish the fact that she’s still a bigger shield than Angela.”

Yash said Devens is the best of the five remaining players. The final five also includes Dee, Melody, Drew and Taylor.

“Dee was a threat because she was good competitively, but she wasn’t great strategically or socially,” Yash claimed. “Devens was all of the above — phenomenal social player, elite strategist and sneaky great competitor.”

Yash will be one of seven jurors voting for the winner of “Big Brother 28” during the Thursday, Oct. 1 season finale. The final two have an opportunity to explain their games to the jury before the vote, highlighting any strategic moves that their fellow players might have missed.

“Big Brother” airs on CBS and Paramount+ Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
