‘Little People, Big World’ Alum Audrey Roloff Arrested for Child Abuse
‘Little People, Big World’ Alum Audrey Roloff Sparks Backlash Over Child Punishment
- Audrey Roloff, wife of Little People, Big World alum Jeremy Roloff, faces backlash for sharing details on disciplining their children, including exercise as punishment.
Audrey Roloff, the wife of Little People, Big World alum Jeremy Roloff, has come under fire after sharing details on the way the couple disciplines their children.
“We do not do rewards for chores. That is an expectation as part of our family team,” the 34-year-old — who shares four children, Ember, 8; Bode, 6; Radley, 4; and Mirabella, 2, with Jeremy — shared via a since-deleted Instagram Story in early June. “There’s two rules I adopted from my own mother: No food on furniture [and] no wet on wood. You cannot leave your wet towel from shower or bath on the ground or carpet, or you will be doing pushups.”
She added, “If you are losing it during home school or you are being disrespectful, you do a lap around the house, rain or shine.”
The children also have rules for thanking whoever prepared their meals, and clearing their plates after they eat. The punishment for forgetting is no dessert.
“If you are 4 or older, you cannot say that you can’t do something. You can ask for help or say that something is hard. You can be frustrated, but if you say that you can’t, you have to do 10 burpees,” Audrey continued.
Social media erupted with many disagreeing with “exercise as punishment.”
“Great way to make them hate exercise and see it as a punishment,” one Reddit user wrote.
“Don’t even get me started on the physical punishment for ‘being disrespectful,’” another added.
Audrey seemingly responded to the drama via her Instagram Story on Monday.

“I think talking about parenting online is a hard thing to do in general, but even moreso if you’re talking about consequences,” she said. “It’s a really vulnerable thing to do.”
She went on to explain that there is “nuance” to everything on social media, adding that nothing is “always” or “never.”
“People are not perfect and they are not doing everything that they say that they are doing to the T,” she continued. “It’s our job as parents to constantly be reassessing the rules and boundaries we have for our kid, depending on each kid’s needs, each kid’s personality, each kid’s age…Have rules, but also know that you can break them.”
